St. Petersburg is a town with a thriving arts and culture scene. As such you can find many art galleries throughout the city selling both local and world renowned pieces. The city has a total of seven different arts districts all of which are populated by artists selling their work though a multitude of stores and galleries.

The Dali Museum houses the most complete collection of Salvadore Dali’s works of art outside of Europe. This iconic museum has collected more than 2,000 pieces of art including 8 of the 18 “Masterworks” Dali created. The museum architecture is a masterpiece in its own right. It was created by architect Yann Weymouth inspired by Dali’s free flowing imagination.
The Morean Arts Center is an artist’s haven. Offering programs for all ages, styles, mediums, and skill levels it is also home to artists Dale Chihuly’s glass art installations. Featuring exhibits, classes and education, as well as residence programs, the Morean Arts Center continues to be an important piece of St. Petersburg’s art scene.
Downtown St. Petersburg has transformed itself into a thriving area for people to explore. With its fantastic street art, museums, restaurants, and craft breweries it has really become a modern and hip city center. St. Petersburg’s oldest living museum is the Sunken Gardens. As you walk down the paths of this 100 year old botanical paradise you will see over 50,000 tropical plants and flowers.
Tropicana Field is home to the Major League Baseball team the Tampa Bay Rays. The “Trop” as its known locally also hosts a variety of other sporting events including basketball, gymnastics, and hockey.
Egmont Key State Park is an uninhabited island at the mouth of the Tampa Bay where the bay and the Gulf of Mexico ocean waters come together. Only accessible by boat or ferry, the island is rich in history. Visitors can enjoy walking the nature trails, snorkeling, swimming, collecting shells, and fishing.
As with other west coast of Florida coastal hotspots, the beaches are always the main attraction. St. Petersburg doesn’t disappoint with Fort Desoto Beach off its southern tip. Visitors of the park can relax on its white sands or explore the 5 interconnected islands that make up the park.
Boating around the St. Petersburg area waters is a very popular activity for residents of the pennisula. With water on three sides of the city there is no shortage of access and the large amount of waterfront homes offer great incentive to own a boat. Just off the southern tip of the city there are a number of protected islands which make for great cruising destinations.
With a total of 9 public boat ramp facilities and countless waterfront homes, access to the fishing grounds off and around St. Petersburg are the best in the area. Geographically located on the southern end of the peninsula, St. Petersburg is best positioned to take advantage of access to the Tampa Bay as well as Gulf of Mexico waters via a number of inlets in the area. Here you can fish inshore, offshore, from a pier, bridge, wade or kayak. There is ample opportunity year round no matter your preferred method.

Pinellas County Schools District has over 104,000 students in grades PK, K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1. According to state test scores, 55% of students are at least proficient in math and 51% in reading. Niche.com gives the school district a B+ rating and has it as the 15th best school district in the state. The City of St. Petersburg has a total of 6 golf courses with 3 courses being municipal. Within a short 20 mile drive you will find another 66 courses. St. Petersburg has three municipal golf courses Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links, and Twin Brooks.
Mangrove Bay Golf Course is a par-72 championship 3 star golf course as ranked by Golf Digest.
Cypress Links is the newest course for the city and is ideal for family outings. There you will find a challenging 9-hole, par-3 facility designed for players of all ages and skill levels.
St. Petersburg 3rd municipal course is Twin Brooks. Like Cypress Links it is also a 9-hole, par-3 course designed to provide a challenging round of golf in a time efficient manner.
The Vinoy Golf Club offers a Ron Garl designed 18-hole, par-71 championship course. A certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, the Vinoy Golf Course offers its patrons a chance to see incredible wildlife and diverse vegetation surrounding every hole.
